Called into Nursing

I can relate to your words, all of them. I was called into nursing ten years ago. I was in my last year at Miami University working on a business degree. I felt I was on the wrong path. I was not driven to my studies, nor did I feel that it was a noble or compassionate field. I had not ponder this prior to my realization of this calling. Nursing was the farthest thing from my mind. I followed my hunch that nursing was it for me. Now I am a successful nurse educator working toward nurse practitioner. I still feel called to help the sick and dying... and I seem to have totally fulfilled my life’s purpose. I also have become a very spiritual person.
